Does TC settings change on different cells or as charge fades?

I have a DNA 75 with dual titanium coils.
I figure it's normal that temp settings change as cell discharges but not by close to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ive been using Sony vct5 and set temp to 580 after putting in freshly cell,but I just got some new 30q cells and have to change temp settings down to 390.
Can cell chemistry have this much effect on temperature control?
