I had some people over at the weekend, and I noticed that my wife's cousin's boyfriend, who I hadn't seen for a couple of months, now smokes.

He used to vape, so needless to say I was somewhat surprised.

He never smoked before he took up vaping, so on the face of it, this looks like a real world example of vaping being a gateway to smoking cigarettes.

Turned out it wasn't that simple - the reason he started smoking was because all of the negative publicity got to him, and convinced him...
